We know it’s still 2019 but we’ve had lots of people asking about and expressing an interest in the 2020 show already so we’ve made the date official and the show will take place the 1st of August 2020! We can’t wait and planning is getting underway. If your interested in helping at the show and getting involved in the organisation please get in touch with us. The show can only get better with the team that make it happen each year and it’s always good to have fresh ideas. Feel free to email us your suggestions of what you’d like to see at the show next year. We can’t promise we will manage them but it’ll be good to hear your thoughts and ideas!

The Skye Agricultural Show is a fun day for all the family and an important event in the social calendar of farmers, crofters and all Skye residents. Visitors to Skye are welcome to join in too.

2019 saw the return of the Ore County Terriers, back on our programme of main ring events. Their terrier racing has proved very popular previously and we hope you all enjoyed it again. The Isle of Skye Pipe Band started our programme of events with a procession from the square. There was entertainment from the Highland Dancers and Sheep Shearing demonstrations. We also had the Crofter's Olympics, Skye It's a Knockout, Tug of War and Giant Pass the Parcel. In the Crofters Olympics was a team of 1 adult and 1 child who were competing for the 'Crofters Olympic Shield'.

As well as our usual livestock classes we were very excited to see the return in 2019 of our Poultry Section and saw many of your feathered friends in all their glory. As always we had our craft and cookery classes and were delighted at the projects you had been beavering away at this year.

This year we had a time trial obstacle course for the kids with the two fastest competing for the honor of being overall winner
